A Romantic Start in Huize Frankendael
We began the day in a charming room upstairs at Huize Frankendael, where the soft morning light set a peaceful tone. Madelief was in the skilled hands of Sjade from The Wedding Chapter, who styled her beautifully. Just outside the window, we could see the lush gardens of Huize Frankendael, where the ceremony setup awaited its guests.
In an intimate moment, two of Madelief’s closest friends helped her into her stunning dress, a perfect find from Wild at Heart Bridal. Every detail felt personal and full of anticipation — the perfect beginning to their wedding day at Huize Frankendael.
A personal ceremony
When it was time, Madelief took her father’s arm and made her way through the garden toward Ruben, who couldn’t hold back his tears as he saw her.
The ceremony was truly heartfelt — friends shared personal stories and warm wishes, creating a moving atmosphere. As a highlight, Madelief and Ruben exchanged beautiful, handwritten vows, sealing their promises with a joyful “yes, we do.”
There, surrounded by the timeless beauty of Huize Frankendael’s gardens, they officially began their journey together.
Wedding portraits in the garden of Huize Frankendael in Amsterdam
After the ceremony, we went for a short walk through the gardens to take some portraits. Huize Frankendael has so many beautiful spots for photos — it’s easy to find quiet corners that feel like a secret.
While we were away, the guests enjoyed drinks in the garden. It’s one of the reasons I love weddings at Huize Frankendael — it feels private and relaxed, but still really special.
An intimate garden Llunch
As the afternoon unfolded, guests gathered again in the garden, where the ceremony space had been transformed into an elegant outdoor dining area. A long table was set beneath the trees, beautifully styled and ready for an intimate lunch.
Course after course of delicious dishes was served, with heartfelt speeches between each course, adding to the warm and relaxed atmosphere. It was the kind of setting that made everyone feel completely at ease — a true reflection of Madelief and Ruben’s personalities.
A stylish transition to evening celebrations
Following lunch, guests were invited inside for a stylish transformation — everyone changed into black tie attire, setting the tone for the evening ahead. Madelief and Ruben made a grand entrance, welcomed by cheers and applause.
The celebrations continued with a walking dinner in the garden, effortlessly transitioning into a lively evening full of music, laughter, and dancing.
