Geneva is one of the most beautiful cities in Switzerland to get married. As a wedding photographer, I had the honor of capturing the civil wedding of Louise and Jeremy. It was a day full of love, happiness, and unforgettable moments.
Louise, from the Netherlands, and Jeremy, from Switzerland, met each other in Geneva. It’s the city where their story began, making it the perfect place for their wedding day.
If you’re looking for a wedding photographer in Geneva or planning a destination wedding in Switzerland, I’d love to tell your story.
Getting Ready at Musée d’Art et d’Histoire
We started the day at the Musée d’Art et d’Histoire. Louise and Jeremy saw each other for the first time during their first look. It was a quiet, beautiful moment surrounded by art and history.
Afterwards, we spent some time exploring the museum together. The stunning architecture and classic artworks offered a perfect, peaceful backdrop for their portraits.
A Civil Ceremony at Pavillon Lullin
Later, we made our way to Pavillon Lullin for the civil ceremony. Their family and friends were already waiting for us. Together, we walked into the building for a small, intimate ceremony filled with emotional moments.
Because the civil ceremony was short and sweet, we had time afterward to enjoy a walk through Geneva.
Celebrating with Cake and Drinks
After the ceremony, we walked with all the guests to Café Zinette. Here, everyone enjoyed cake and drinks in a relaxed atmosphere.
In addition to the beautiful setting, it was a lovely way to celebrate with close family and friends. Laughter and happy conversations filled the air.
A Church Ceremony and Sunset Photos
Later in the afternoon, we headed to the church for a traditional ceremony. The service was heartfelt and beautiful, adding a spiritual touch to the day.
Before sunset, we took some time for portraits in the old town of Geneva. The small streets and historic buildings were perfect for wedding photos. For any Geneva wedding photographer, the old town is a dream location.
Dinner at Kiosque des Bastions
When we returned, the church had been transformed into a stunning reception space. It was the perfect place to continue the celebrations.
Finally, the day ended with a cozy dinner at Kiosque des Bastions. This place was extra special for Louise and Jeremy because it’s where they had their first date. Ending the day there with their closest loved ones made it even more memorable.
